The Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat (TBS) along with Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) and other benefits plan administrators work together to inform you about the available options and entitlements you may have once you become a plan member. We are pleased to offer you this Web Portal where you'll find accurate, timely, and relevant information about pension and group insurance benefits plans specifically written for active and retired federal public service pension plan members and their dependants or survivors.

PWGSC, Compensation Sector and the Public Service Pension Centre

PWGSC administers and delivers the public service pension plan. PWGSC's Compensation Sector and the Public Service Pension Centre provide the following:

  • counseling services;
  • program support;
  • training and delivery;
  • account maintenance services; and
  • support services for group benefit plans.

TBS, Pensions and Benefits Sector

TBS sponsors and oversees the public service pension plan and group insurance benefits plans. TBS is responsible for the following:

  • program and policy development for the pension and group insurance benefits plans;
  • financial analysis;
  • legislation development;
  • policy interpretation;
  • program advice; and
  • management of plan accounting.

The President of the Treasury Board is the Minister responsible for the public service pension plan and public service group insurance benefits plans.
